On June 24–27, 2025, the international team of the AFID Project gathered in Gdańsk (Poland) to discuss the results of pilot activities and define future steps for the development of the Virtual Inclusive Campus (VIC).
During these fruitful days, the partner universities shared key findings from their piloting activities, discussed the implementation of digital solutions for inclusivity, and exchanged ideas on sustainable promotion strategies for VIC. Special attention was given to the Certification 3.0 concept, quality evaluation, and ensuring accessibility in higher education, particularly in the context of Ukraine’s recovery.
Within the event, Andrii Butenko, Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (Ukraine), delivered a presentation “Inclusivity in Higher Education under Recovery in Ukraine”, which sparked a lively and meaningful discussion. The presence of representatives from all consortium members ensured an in-depth expert exchange, sharing of best practices, and further strengthening of international cooperation.
Additionally, the meeting included a presentation of the results from the Swedish Institute’s international project TALENT4UA. Key projects' developments emphasized the importance of connecting academia, business, and civil society to support Ukrainian talents during the recovery period, as well as encouraging inclusive and innovative educational environments through international collaboration.
The meeting served not only as a platform for progress evaluation but also as a means to strengthen partnerships, share best practices, and shape the roadmap for future activities.
