On April 23, 2024, a presentation of the current results of the AFID project took place within the Spring School of the Jean Monnet Chairs UniTECH project. In particular:
- Professor Ihor Oleksiv from the Management and International Business Department of Lviv Polytechnic National University discussed the EU Erasmus+ KA2 project "Ensuring academic freedom and inclusion through digitalization" (AFID). He spoke about the project's objectives, goals, and current outcomes, which could benefit students and the academic community. The speaker highlighted the significance of implementing and enhancing inclusive education in higher education institutions using modern digital tools. Lastly, Professor Ihor Oleksiv discussed the potential for collaboration and engagement of students, and academic staff in the project.
- Professor Viktoriya Kharchuk from the Management and International Business Department of Lviv Polytechnic National University, expounded on the Virtual Inclusive Campus (VIC) as a significant outcome of the project's implementation. Specifically, she highlighted the campus's concept, objectives, opportunities, inclusive tools, course structure, and content that cater to learners of diverse abilities, students, and adults seeking to enhance their professional skills. Moreover, Professor Kharchuk drew the audience's attention to the fact that VIC's course offerings focused on developing both hard skills and disciplines aligned with contemporary business trends and needs. In addition, the speaker drew attention to the fact that the implementation of such a project not only draws the attention of society and the academic community to the need for the development of inclusive education but also offers ready-made solutions and directions for cooperation.
It is extremely gratifying that the meeting was attended by more than 270 participants from all parts of Ukraine, in particular, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Uman, Kherson, Cherkasy, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Bukovyna, and Lviv Region, as well as students of the Management and International Business Department of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, who joined the meeting from their alma mater, using equipment purchased with the support of EU Erasmus+ projects.
